Windmills
I saw thousands and thousands of windmills all over the states on my trip. In the Rochelle, IL. area alone there is a windmill corridor as far as the eye can see. I have one question though, what happens to them once we run out of wind?
Black Friday
I've never fallen for the "Black Friday" obsession. There is nothing I need so bad that I have to camp outside to purchase. This whole idea was created by greedy retailers attempting to push their products at consumers by creating the lure of "low prices today only!" Also, most if not all "holidays" are all created and promoted by the same. When will we all wake up to this simple truth? I believe in free enterprise, but not at the cost of enslaving the consumers mind.

Facebook and life
Facebook is boring lately. Too many options, ads, security settings...just too much I think. I am a real techy, always have been, as most of my friends and family would agree, but enough is enough with Facebook. I like seeing my family and friends with all their pictures, but it's isolating sometimes. I spend too much time locked up in these four walls not actually socializing but in a way becoming like a hermit. I talked to my brother and his lady friend in person lately. They are on Facebook, there was just something special about actually seeing them face to face and talking to them. What have we (I) become?

This world is not my home, I'm just passing through.
This world is not my home, I'm just passing through.
My treasures are laid up somewhere beyond the blue.
The angels beckon me from Heaven's open door
And I can't feel at home in this world anymore.
Chorus
O Lord you know I have no friend like you
If Heaven's not my home, then Lord what will I do?
The angels beckon me from Heaven's open door
And I can't feel at home in this world anymore.
They're all expecting me and that's one thing I know.
My Savior pardoned me and now I onward go.
I know He'll take me through, though I am weak and poor.
Chorus
O Lord you know I have no friend like you
If Heaven's not my home, then Lord what will I do?
The angels beckon me from Heaven's open door
And I can't feel at home in this world anymore.
Just up in Glory Land we'll live eternally.
The Saints on every hand are shouting victory.
Their song of sweetest praise drifts back from Heaven's shore
And I can't feel at home in this world anymore.
Chorus
O Lord you know I have no friend like you
If Heaven's not my home, then Lord what will I do?
The angels beckon me from Heaven's open door
And I can't feel at home in this world anymore.

Walk Tall...
Walk tall, kick butt, learn to speak Spanish, love music, and never forget you come from a long line of truth seekers, lovers, and warriors.
Dave Long, 2011
Big boys don't cry?
Being a man requires that you are not so insensitive that you cannot cry, but you are strong enough to lend your shoulders to those that do.

Life after Life
Unless you have come back from the dead and know what's on the other side, don't tell me where I'm going when I die!
